🌇 The Most Beautiful Sunset Spots in Seville

Sunsets in Seville feel different. Maybe it’s the way the golden light wraps around the rooftops, or how the river glows like it’s holding onto the day just a bit longer. Or maybe it’s just this city—warm, timeless, and slow enough to make you look up.

Here are some of my favorite places to catch the sunset in Seville—some popular, others less obvious. Whether you’re wandering solo, with someone you love, or curious with a camera in hand, these moments are yours to enjoy.

In Seville, the sun doesn’t set—it performs a feeling of awareness.”

🌉 Triana Bridge (Puente de Isabel II) — Watch the City Light Up

This is one of the most iconic places to see the sun set. From the bridge, you have a full view of Calle Betis, the Torre del Oro, and the Giralda peeking behind it all. The river reflects every shade—burnt orange, lavender, deep rose—and it’s free, open, and full of life.

I often cross the bridge around this time just to watch the colors shift. Bonus: grab a drink on one of the riverside terraces right afterward.

🏰 Las Setas (Metropol Parasol) — Rooftop Views with a Twist

The top of Las Setas (The Mushrooms) offers panoramic views of the old town. You’ll see church domes glowing in gold and terracotta rooftops stretched out like a warm patchwork.

There’s a small fee to go up, but the timing near sunset is perfect. If you like to mix your views with a bit of architecture and perspective, this one’s worth it.

🛶 The Guadalquivir River — Sunset on the Water

For something quieter, find a bench along the river near Plaza de Cuba or the Monastery of La Cartuja. You’ll often see kayakers and rowers slicing through the water, birds gliding by, and locals just sitting in thought.

Sometimes I bring a book and don’t read a page. Just watching the sun slip behind the trees is enough.

🌳 Parque de María Luisa — A Golden Walk Under the Trees

This is Seville’s green heart, and in the late afternoon, it’s soaked in honey-colored light. The wide boulevards, tiled fountains, and horse-drawn carriages create a kind of quiet magic.

Stroll slowly, stop when the light hits a palm just right, and let the day wind down without hurry. Sunset here feels more like a whisper than a show.

🏛️ Plaza de España — Evening Light on Tile and Water

Few places glow like Plaza de España at sunset. The curves of the building catch the light, the canal reflects the arches, and the shadows stretch long across the tiled bridges. It’s one of the most photographed spots in Seville for good reason—but it somehow still feels calm at this hour.

If you’re lucky, a street musician will be playing flamenco as the last rays slide down the facade. A perfect way to end the day.

🏨 Torre Sevilla Hotel Rooftop — Sunset from Above

Want to see the entire city turn golden? Head up to the Torre Sevilla Hotel—Seville’s tallest building—for panoramic views from the rooftop terrace.

You’ll see the river winding through the city, the old town stretching to the east, and the sun dropping behind the horizon. It’s a different perspective, modern and open, and ideal if you’re in the mood for a drink with your view.

I usually suggest this spot for people wanting to take it all in without the bustle. It’s quiet, elegant, and incredibly photogenic.

🕊️ A City that Slows Down with the Sun

Seville is a daytime city, full of sun and sound. But in the hour before sunset, everything softens. The colors, the noise, even the pace of people walking. It’s a lovely time to reflect—or simply do nothing.

Whether you choose a famous rooftop or a quiet patch of grass, the sunset here always feels generous.

🌅 One Last Tip

If you’re taking photos, don’t rush to leave after the sun dips. The best colors often come 15–20 minutes after the sun is technically gone. That’s when the sky turns into poetry.
